The PTC will close its doors for the Christmas and New Year holidays this week and will re-open 8th January 2018.

This year has been a challenging year in many respects, but it has also been full of good news and achievements.  Some of the highlights included the further development and expansion of the PTC Psychological Wellbeing Programme, the Back on the Beat Cycling Sportive in May, and the fantastic news of the £1.5 million that was awarded to the PTC in November to help us further develop our wellbeing programme over the next few years.  Notwithstanding these and other highlights, the most important thing for us at the PTC is that this year we have again treated well over 3000 police patients, returning them to duty and their families in a much better position than when they arrived with us for treatment.  We ensure that everyone’s treatment at the PTC is specific to them, and we take huge pride in supporting our police patients and their families at their time of need.

I would like to thank all of our donors for their support this year, do please continue to donate, and please encourage your colleagues to sign up to our class leading treatment centre.  I also want to encourage as many of you as possible to come for treatment in 2018, the PTC is designed to be used, when you are ill or injured whether it be on or off duty, so if you need us, please do not delay. Timely treatment at the PTC at an early stage really can make a difference to your longer term health and wellbeing.

Finally, I would like to wish all of our serving police colleagues a restful and enjoyable Christmas and New Year.  I hope that all of you manage to get some time off with friends and loved ones over the holiday period even if you are working some shifts, and that you have a good break.  On behalf of the PTC I would also like to thank all of our serving or retired police officers and your friends and families who stand behind you, for working to keep us and the United Kingdom safe, not just over the holiday period, but all of the time.  The British Police are one of the very best things about our country and all of the team at the PTC regard it as a huge privilege to treat and support our police patients, and help them get back to better health, fitness and wellbeing.
