The Police Treatment Centres is a registered Charity here to help and assist your return to full active service should you become injured or ill.
For just a small donation you could have the comfort of knowing we will be there for you if you are injured or ill, through treatment, support and recuperation, including intensive, police-specific, physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Don’t forget, it doesn’t matter if your injury occurs on or off duty – it could have occurred playing football or even walking the dog.
56% of the 79,000 Police Family members within our service area contribute to the PTC and so are eligible for free treatment.
If you are in the minority who don’t, take a fresh look at the PTCs and see how you too could benefit from what we can offer.
All decisions on admission for treatment will always be based on the merits of each individual case and admission prioritised on the need for treatment. Please view the Charity’s full Clinical Eligibility Policy by clicking here.
Individuals normally eligible to receive treatment at the Centres ‘free of charge’ are
- Officers who hold the ‘office of Constable’
- Special Constables
- Police Staff or Investigators employed by the Chief Constable
- Police Community Support Officers
- Detention & Custody Officers employed by either the Chief Constable or Police & Crime Commissioner
AND
- They make a monthly voluntary donation to support the Charities aims and objectives
“I recommend anyone to take advantage of the PTC and what it has to offer. It is worth twice the cost. The staff are expert in everything they offer. Within two days of attending I had more movement in my shoulder than in the previous 6 months.”
