During 2020/21 we established a new Clinical Services Wing in partnership with Police Care UK.
Recent research published by Police Care UK has revealed that more than 90% of Police Officers will be exposed to multiple traumatic incidents during their career and that 1 in 5 service personnel are currently living with symptoms of PTSD.
The new Clinical Services Wing has been built at our St Andrews Centre Harrogate. It will focus
its efforts on building resilience to better support the wellbeing of Officers and provide access to treatment that reflects the needs of policing, including Post Traumatic Stress.
The new Clinical Services Wing comprises of two new wings with two floors, containing 20 bedrooms, four additional counselling rooms, one nursing surgery room and additional office space, six therapy rooms, three workshop spaces and a conference room.
The expansion of our real estate will mean that not only can we treat more Police Family Patients, it can also increase our provision in support, including the development of additional programmes of support.
We are looking to connect with businesses who share our passion for the welfare of the Police Family.
There are multiple ways your business could support the PTC and the continued development of the Clinical Services Wing.
As well as the positive connection with a class-leading Police Charity, the PTC would ensure maximum visibility for your business to Chief Constables, Police Forces and Federations and across our target audience of over 70,000 officer through our electronic marketing and social media platforms.

In particular, we are hope that you can support our project to establish a floatation tank room. The total cost of the floatation tank and adaptations to the room would be £50,000.00.
The idea of a flotation tank is to promote a deep sense of relaxation, ease anxiety and reduce muscle tension. There is evidence that this assists in the treatment of anxiety and depression.
There are multiple ways you may be able to support our new project
- One off donation – a one off donation to support the project, or a donation in kind of your product of services.
- On going donation – an ongoing commitment to the project for an agreed period.
- Bespoke donation – a smaller donation to cover cost of specialist equipment in the floatation room
