The Treatment Centres employ Counsellors at St Andrews and Castlebrae. The Counsellors work closely with the clinical team to provide the best possible care for patients. Counselling falls under the umbrella term ‘talking therapies’.
The Counsellors are all experienced and aim to provide solution focused brief therapy. This approach concentrates on present problems and ways forward rather than examining past causes. The exact number of sessions needed by each person will vary according to the nature of their issues.
Counselling provides a safe, impartial and confidential space in which to explore both your emotions and feelings.
The Counsellors can provide:
A sounding board to help patients make important decisions
Advice, support and information
Sign-posting to support services and therapies elsewhere
