The last Board Meeting of the year was held today at PTC Harrogate. All of our Trustees give up a huge amount of their professional and personal time to support both the PTC and TPCC and always play a key role in setting the strategy for the charities and ensure that they are in strong position to support our police family beneficiaries both now and in the future.
At this meeting we said farewell to Pete Henson who has been the Treasurer at the PTC and TPCC since 2004. Pete has been one of the key reasons that the PTC and TPCC are in such a strong financial position as they are today, and he has been absolutely committed to the PTC/TPCC and kept everyone on their toes with his rigour and financial diligence.
We also say farewell to Craig Grandison as a Trustee and also as the Chair of the Finance and Human Resources Committee which he has led for many years. Craig has been both an outstanding Trustee and Chair and made a real difference to both the Charities. It is in fact only Au Revoir to Craig, as he will assume the position as the new Treasurer in 2024 after he retires from West Yorkshire Police.
Finally, we also say goodbye to Lisa Winward as she will retire in 2024 as well. Despite having a very busy Chief Constable’s portfolio of responsibilities to manage, Lisa has always made time for Board Meetings, and made a massive contribution to the strategy and the smooth running of the PTC and TPCC. She has also been a real pleasure to have on the Board on a personal basis.
A big thank you to all our Trustees, they really do make a difference to both our charities and all our police beneficiaries.
