The Dazzling Bobbies, a team made up of staff from St Andrews, took on the 51st Great Knaresborough Bed Race to raise funds for the charity!
The Great Knaresborough Bed Race is something different: First staged in 1966, it is part fancy dress pageant and part gruelling time trial over a 2.4 mile course, ending with a swim through the icy waters of the River Nidd. The Bed Race features 90 teams of six runners and a passenger – that's 630 people sweating around the course.
The theme for this year's Great Knaresborough Bed Race was cities of the world and we were given 'Wellington, New Zealand', so went as the All Blacks!
The team did fantastically well coming 54th out of 90 teams, in an amazing final time of 19:31.5! Check out photos from the day across on our facebook page!
Fundraising events really help us to make sure that the Police Treatment Centres can continue providing vital treatment and support to help officers return to better health and get back to work sooner. There are so many ways you can get involved!
