Wayne Thomas & 5 other retired Merseyside Police Officers (Pete Hargreaves, Roger Black, Mark WIZZER Wilson, Kev McGinty and Pete Cawthorne) recently undertook the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge.
The challenge was originally planned pre-COVID, but finally on 31st May, they set off from Whitehaven on the North West Coast and spent 3 days cycling across to Sunderland on the North East Coast raising money for the UK Police Treatment Centres.
“As you know, the Police Treatment Centres is a registered charity which provides treatment and support, including intensive, police-specific, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, for injured and ill police officers and retired officers. Many of us will have used the centres during our police careers and also after retirement.”
