Suzanne Smith of West Yorkshire Police, a previous patient at St Andrews, completed the New York Marathon in a brilliant time of 5hrs 52 minutes and 57 seconds on Sunday 2nd November!   A fantastic achievement!

Three years ago Suzanne came to the Police Treatment Centres for treatment and support following viral encephalitis which had affected her ability to work.

“The support I had at the PTCs really made a big difference to me. I was able to come three times and it really helped me get back to health and fitness after my illness. I have done the New York Marathon before for a local charity but this time I wanted to run in aid of The Police Treatment Centres to thank them for all the help they have given me.”

Does this inspire you to take up a challenge and raise funds for the PTCs?  Please get in touch at fundraising@thepolicetreatmentcentres.org – we will be happy to help you get started!
