Ian, a recently retired Sergeant from Merseyside Police, has always had a deep commitment to the mental, physical, and psychological health of blue light responders. He firmly believes that those who protect the vulnerable and serve their communities deserve the very best in welfare and wellbeing support.

When Ian saw the LinkedIn advert calling for ex-police officers to fundraise for causes supporting blue light responders, he knew this was the perfect challenge. It was not only an opportunity to embark on a rewarding and unforgettable experience but also a way to continue supporting his brothers and sisters in blue, even in retirement, just as he did throughout his career.

Ian is now preparing to trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro with the Emergency Service Challenge team to raise money for charity. You can donate to Ian’s JustGiving page by clicking here

Thin Blue Line Radio (https://www.thinbluelineradio.com), will be sharing Ian’s journey and support his fundraising efforts for the Police Treatment Centres, the Police Children’s Charity, and 999 RE. All proceeds will be evenly distributed among these vital charities.
