Suzanne Smith, a West Yorkshire Police officer, ran the New York Marathon on 2nd November to raise funds for the PTCs.   She achieved a fantastic time of 5hrs, 52mins and 57seconds!  Well done Suzanne!

Three years ago Suzanne came to the Police Treatment Centres for treatment and support following viral encephalitis which had affected her ability to work.

“The support I had at the Police Treatment Centres really made a big difference to me. I was able to come three times and it really helped me get back to health and fitness after my illness. I have done the New York Marathon before for a local charity but this time I wanted to run in aid of The Police Treatment Centres to thank them for all the help they have given me.”

If you would like to make a donation in recognition of Suzanne’s efforts, she has a just giving page Suzanne’s Just giving page .
