Jason Takes On The London Marathon

In April, South Yorkshire Officer, Jason Butcher, will take on the London Marathon in support of The Police Treatment Centres. 

 Jason says ” I am a current serving South Yorkshire Police Officer, working in Barnsley for over 5 years. The PTC provides two Treatment Centres where Serving and Retired Police Officers can receive treatment following an illness or injury, with the aim of assisting their return to better health.

 I like to maintain my fitness for my role by running regularly. I have only ever taken part in 10k’s prior to this and have always wanted to take part in longer distances so joined my local running club, Rawmarsh Runners. As part of my training for this event I will also be taking part in the Sheffield half marathon in March as a training run, again this will be my first race at this distance.”
