Huge congratulations to PTC Physio Marie who completed her first Triathlon this weekend in a time of 3 hours 13 minutes & 47 seconds.

Some of you will know Marie as one of the physiotherapists at the Police Treatment Centre, where she has worked for nearly 13 years, helping serving police officers back to work via physiotherapy treatment, education and exercise plans. Now, you will know her as a Triathlete!!

Marie took part in Ripon Triathlon – an olympic distance; 1500m swim (in the lake!), 40km bike ride, and 10km run.
Marie has raised a fantastic amount of sponsorship which will be split between the Police Treatment Centres & the Bedale Scouts & Guides, (charity no. 503989). You can still sponsor Marie on Justgiving.

Marie said “Here at PTC, we are constantly reliant on donations to help fund equipment in the physiotherapy department, and replace tired or out-dated gear. Outside work, I also help to run the local cubs in Bedale (AKA “Bagheera”!). Our scouts and guides are a busy group who enjoy climbing, canoeing, camps, sailing, etc. and we have to fundraise to keep the HQ and equipment up-to-date. We currently need to update our climbing gear. So I’ve chosen to raise funds for both of the charities which take up most of my time. The funds raised will be split equally between the Police treatment centre and the Bedale Scouts and Guides.”
