Huge congratulations to Paul Gavan for completing the Great Scottish run to raise funds for the Police Treatment Centres. Paul is 28 years old and from Motherwell in Scotland. He is a serving officer with Police Scotland with 6 years service, and he is currently working at Glasgow City Centre Police Office.
“I have been to Castlebrae for treatment twice after a
lengthy absence and the staff there became like family. If it wasn’t for the
treatment centre I would have been unable to return to work and thereafter
sustain my return to work.
I suffer from PTSD due to an incident that occurred on
duty and the Treatment centre has saved my
life, that is no overstatement.
I am participating in the event for a number of reasons; to raise awareness of the work that the centres do, to raise money for the charity and also as a thank you and a dedication to all the hard work that the staff do”
