We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved in the Charity Car Day 2026, which took place on Sunday 16th August and raised funds to support members of the police family.

Organised by James Skaith from North Yorkshire Police, the event brought together car enthusiasts, supporters and members of the local community for a fantastic day of fundraising, helping to ensure that serving and retired police officers can continue to access the specialist treatment and wellbeing support they need.

The Charity Car Day showcased an impressive range of vehicles, attracting visitors from across the region who came together to share their passion for cars while supporting a worthwhile cause. Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to view the vehicles on display, connect with fellow enthusiasts and contribute to fundraising activities. We also had delicious burgers made and served by the Otley Burger Company that our visitors enjoyed throughout the day; as well as a range of different stools to cast your eye over selling cakes, biscuits and hand made jewellery.

Every pound raised will help the Police Treatment Centres continue providing physical rehabilitation and mental health support to members of the police family. From intensive physiotherapy programmes and injury rehabilitation to psychological wellbeing services, the charity remains committed to helping those who have dedicated their careers to protecting others.

Events such as Charity Car Day play an important role in enabling the Police Treatment Centres to continue delivering these life-changing services. They also demonstrate the incredible support that exists within the wider policing community and beyond.

We are incredibly grateful to James Skaith for organising the event and to every volunteer, participant, exhibitor and visitor who contributed to its success. Their generosity and dedication will make a real difference to the lives of police officers and former officers who rely on the charity’s support.

On behalf of everyone at the Police Treatment Centres, thank you for helping us continue our mission of improving the health and wellbeing of the police family.

Together, we are helping police officers and former officers recover, rebuild and thrive.
