DCC Dave Orford Hadrian’s Wall

Congratulations to former Deputy Chief Constable Dave Orford, who finished his 84-mile charity hike along Hadrian’s Wall at the weekend. 

Having started in Bowness-on-Solway, in Cumbria, last Monday, he made the final steps into Wallsend on Saturday – marking his final day as a police officer ‍♂️

The former Army officer, who served in the Royal Engineers before joining Durham Constabulary in 1995, used the challenge to say thank you to frontline officers in both the police and the Army.

He has so far raised £1,215 for the Police Treatment Centres and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, smashing his original target of £1,000.
