
The St George’s Police Trust is registered charity supported by voluntary donations from serving police officers in a number of police forces in England, Wales and Scotland. The charity provides financial assistance to needy young people, one of whose parents is or was, a serving police officer/s who contributed to the charity and is now deceased or incapacitated from earning a living.
The charity was first established in the 1950's with the proceeds from the sale of the Police Orphanage in Harrogate, St George’s House. Serving police officers make a voluntary donation of 19 pence per week to support the work of the Trust.
