The PTC is now delighted to be welcoming the Harbour Police for Tees & Hartlepool for treatment at its centres.
The ports of Teesport and Hartlepool have been served for over 100 years by a dedicated and professional Harbour Police force. The Harbour Police operate 24 hours a day, 52 weeks of the year. The team of officers patrol the ports, detecting crime and providing as safe an environment as possible whilst also protecting the Ports’ assets, personnel and commercial interests.
In support of Harbour Police crime prevention activities, the team of officers have established long standing relationships with external bodies. This strong local support ensures the safe keeping of Tees and Hartlepool enabling the officers to respond quickly and effectively to any incident.
Harbour Police Inspector Jim Bone commented: “At Teesport, the Harbour Police is an essential function, ensuring the safety of the port and its employees. We’re always looking for ways to improve the wellbeing of the team and linking with the Police Treatment Centres is critical to ensuring we can continue to have a strong and healthy workforce.
The Police Treatment Centres can provide our team with high-standard treatments that are tailored to the individual’s needs ensuring our officers receive the most suitable treatment whether it’s physical or mental wellbeing within an acceptable time scale.”
These officers are now eligible to receive police specific treatment for any on or off duty injury. Whether it is a physical injury, or stress, depression, anxiety related, treatment and recuperation are provided to help them recover and aid their return back to work.
