Patrick Cairns welcomed the High Sheriffs of North and West
Yorkshire and the Under Sheriff of North Yorkshire, to St Andrews.
The Office of High Sheriff is an independent non-political Royal appointment
for a single year. While the origins of the Office date back to Saxon times,
today High Sheriffs actively lend support and encouragement to crime prevention
agencies, the emergency services and to the voluntary sector.
We were pleased to welcome Simon and Lille Wrightson (North Yorkshire), Dr Terry Bramall CBE and Liz Bramall (West Yorkshire) and David Garfitt (Under Sheriff of North Yorkshire), who all enjoyed a tour of the fantastic facilities at St Andrews.
CEO Patrick Cairns said; 'The PTC is delighted to have the on going support of the High Sheriffs in Yorkshire and we are very pleased to accept the donation of £1,460.12, raised at the Northern Annual Legal Service held at York Minister'.
