Mrs Janice Kehoe receives her prize from Charity Chief Executive Michael Baxter

Hundreds of pounds raised at Harrogate Antique Fair

Visitors and exhibitors at the recent Harrogate Antique and Fine Art Fair donated more than £1000 to the Police Treatment Centres.

The PTC was nominated as the chosen charity of the Fair by its Patron, Baroness Masham of Ilton, following a visit she made to St Andrews. The event, which was held over the early May Bank Holiday weekend, presented an excellent opportunity to raise much-needed funds and to highlight the vital services provided by the Charity.

The main fundraising event was a prize draw held at the Gala Evening on Friday 30 April. Mr Simon Mackaness of Rudding Park donated a prize of a weekend for two at the resort and more than £600 was raised on that night alone. The weekend break was won by Mrs Janice Kehoe of Solo Antiques at Preston.

Gemma Pettman, Publicity and Fundraising Officer for the Police Treatment Centres, said: “I would like to thank the many members of the public and exhibitors for their support and generosity during the Fair. The money donated over the five days will be put towards our refurbishment programme at St Andrews in Harrogate.”
