IIP Award 2011

Investors In People Award 2011

Congratulations to the Police Treatment Centres for once again achieving the IIP Award.

The Charity, which provides intensive treatment for injured and ill police officers, has been recognised as an organisation which is clear about the way it leads, manages and develops its people at its two centres: St Andrews in Harrogate and Castlebrae in Auchterarder.

The IIP standard confirms that the Charity continues to grow and develop its people and that effective communication is continually seen as one of the many tools which help promote the Charity’s ethos of being an “employee of choice”.

The Charity is delighted to once again be recognised with this award and would like to share some of the positive comments received from its employees during the assessment:-

  • “It is important that we work together in housekeeping, catering and the treatment side to give our patients the best we can. Of course the condition of the building and the gardens are also important. It’s a holistic approach.”
  • If our patients are happy with our service, it means that we are delivering just what we promise. That means people know what theyare doing and what to expect.”
  • “I am learning all the time and get support … There's always someone to help if you are in a cul de sac."
Michael Baxter, Chief Executive at the Charity, commented:

"This is a fantastic achievement for the Police Treatment Centres, and also confirms the IiP Health and Wellbeing Award we gained in November 2010, both of which help us to continually attract and retain the most talented people and offer a service that fully meets our beneficiaries’ needs. I would like to thank all our employees for their on-going commitment to ensuring patients receive the best help and support they can whilst they are with us."
