A legacy is a gift left to a charity in a will. At present we do not receive the legacy income we so desperately need, because not enough people realise we are a charity. All charitable legacies are exempt from inheritance tax, so you can reduce the amount of tax that would be payable on your estate.
If you are considering leaving us a legacy, or if you have already included us in your will, we would be very pleased to hear from you. This information remains confidential and is not legally binding but by telling us we are able to thank you and keep you informed of our work, should you wish to hear from us.
Any legacy you make to the Police Treatment Centres should include the following information:
The Northern Police Convalescent and Treatment Centre
St Andrews
Harlow Moor Road
Harrogate
North Yorkshire
HG2 0AD
Registered charity number 220956
(Please note, as a will is a legal document it is important you use the charity's registered name as set out above, rather than our working title).
